Sometimes I wish the phone
would ring and it was you
calling to say I love you.
Sometimes I wish heaven
allowed their angels down
to earth just to say hello.
Sometimes I wish I can blink
myself back to the time
you were once alive.
Sometimes I wish we could
laugh and cry together as
those many years ago.
Sometimes I wish I was still
holding your hand swinging
it forward and back as you smiled.
Sometimes I wish time would
had never passed, only stood
still as a pose in a photograph.
Sometimes I wish I could talk
to you without having to let
you go once again.
Sometimes I wish you were in my
dreams so I could kiss and hug
you tight for the very last time.
Sometimes I wish….
